What's great about a Heart & Sew Necktie?

  1. They are cut on the bias (diagonal) so that they tie a handsome knot.
  2. They are lined with top quality, woven, bias-cut material which provides the tie with body and the capacity to tie a beautiful knot.

What difference will it make to the wearer if the tie is cotton not silk?

  1. When untying a silk tie, the wearer may quickly slide the knot down the length of the narrower end of the tie. Cotton ties need to be loosened, sometimes even untied to be removed in order to allow the tie to remain in good shape.
  2. He'll receive extensive compliments.
  3. Because cotton wrinkles a bit, it is easy for the wearer to know how long to make each end when first he puts on his cotton necktie. The wrinkles mark the spot, then they become part of the knot. It's ingenious!!
  4. Though not necessary. it is OK to iron a Heart & Sew tie. Exert only light pressure using an iron on a cool setting.
  5. The cotton knot doesn't slip, nor slide around the neck of the wearer until it becomes off center.
  6. Cotton doesn't reflect light and appear shiny the way many silks do.
  7. Cotton feels nice to touch, and if you choose cotton instead of silk, all those silk worms get to keep their cocoons!

Why Dry clean Heart & Sew Ties?

  1. They are cut in the bias (diagonal) so that they tie a handsome knot. Unfortunately, this fact makes them more susceptible to becoming misshapen during washing as opposed to dry cleaning.
  2. The bias cut lining fabric is designed to be dry cleaned.
  3. One of the most notable features of these ties is their rich, vibrant colors. As with denim jeans, silk and cotton fade when washed. Dry cleaning is a way to keep colors bright.
